Eric Grip is the blacksmith on site by the Apacheland Barn. Eric has been blacksmithing for approximately 25 years. Eric is mostly self taught but over the years he has studied with several noted blacksmiths including Peter Ross, Master Blacksmith, at Colonial Williamsburg.

Eric is motivated by keeping history going while being open to using modern components in his work. Eric will take a leaf that has been cut out with a plasma cutter and hand forge the detail making it a unique hand hammered piece of art with it’s own personality. Other works are made totally by hand using only a hammer and a forge.
